2020 ANU ORIENTATION $100 VOUCHER PRIZE COMPETITION​​​​​​

  1. The competition commences at 9am Friday 6th December 2019 and closes at 4.00pm 1 March 2020 (promotional period). Taking part in this competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  2. The promoter of this competition is The Australian National University, Canberra (ABN 52234063906).

  3. The competition is open to any new undergraduate or postgraduate ANU student commencing their studies in semester 1 2020 who registers for the ANU Semester 1, 2020 Orientation period. There is a limit of one entry per person.

  4. To enter, eligible entrants must complete and submit their 2020 ANU Orientation event registration via the https://orientation.anu.edu.au/ website during the promotional period and complete the survey. Registrations submitted outside the promotional period will not be eligible for the prize draw.

  5. There will be one winner of the competition (winner). The winner shall be drawn at random from the eligible entries received by a staff member of The Australian National University. The draw will take place at Level 3, DiRiddel Building 154 University Avenue, ANU Acton campus, on Monday 9 September (draw date).

  6. The winner will be notified by email, using the student number and email address provided in the registration form, within seven days of the draw date. The winner must claim their prize in the manner set out in the email informing them that they have won. No correspondence will be entered into. The promoter’s draw is final. 

  7. There will be 5 prizes to be won, consisting of 1 x AU$100 Visa Gift Cards

    • TOTAL Value of prizes = $500

  8. If any of the prizes remain unclaimed after two months of the draw date, the promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw in the same manner and place as the original. The winner from the original draw will be removed from the unclaimed prize draw.

  9. The promoter accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the competition.

  10. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The winner accepts the prize ‘as is’ and acknowledges that the promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. The winner should seek advice from the Australian Tax Office or their own taxations adviser or an independent financial adviser.

  11. Employees of the promoter, including their immediate families, its agencies and companies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.

  12. The promoter will use its best endeavours to provide the prize stated. If the prize are unavailable for whatever reason, the promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to disqualify any entrant; and/or subject to any written direction from the regulatory authority, to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the competition.

  13. No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
