Canberra Pick-up Service

The ANU Canberra Pick-up Service is a free transfer provided to new students commencing their studies in their first semester at ANU arriving in Canberra. This service is available for both new International Students and Domestic Students. 

The service provides transfer to one accommodation destination in Canberra or Queanbeyan area. The service is available from the Canberra Airport and Canberra Jolimont Centre at the following times and dates only: 

• Canberra Airport

Dates: Monday 15 July – Wednesday 18 July 2024

Times: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Canberra time)

• Canberra Jolimont Centre

Date: Monday 15 July 2024

Times: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Canberra time)

Who is eligible? 

• Commencing domestic and international students 
• Exchange students 
• International students under 18 years of age are NOT eligible to use this service

What do I do when I arrive at Canberra Airport? 

Upon arrival, please head towards the information booth located near the luggage carousel. Our ANU representatives will be at the booth on the days at the operating times noted above. They will then assist you with your free transfer to your accommodation.

What do I do when I arrive at Canberra Jolimont Centre? 

Upon arrival, you will see our ANU representative in the waiting area who will be wearing an ANU shirt. They will check you off the registered list and will assist you with the transfer to your accommodation. 

What if I arrive outside your operational hours?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a pick-up service outside our operational hours. There are several alternative transportation options that you will be able to use: 

• Taxi
• Bus
• Rideshare apps
