Writing for University

Learn how to write a persuasive, impactful and well-structured essay

Academic writing is very different to writing outside of the university context. Argumentative essay writing is one of the most widely used assessment types for coursework degrees at university.

In this informative workshop, we walk you through the entire writing process: breaking down essay questions; finding your position towards the question; and structuring, planning, writing, and editing your essay. Using real-world examples, we examine and analyse the essentials of high-quality arguments and the key components of essay writing and paragraph structure.

Please note that this event is for ANU students only. Academic Skills will provide the Zoom link an hour prior to the workshop. We look forward to seeing you there.
