Volunteer and Eat

Kick-off your O‑Week with purpose, connection, and tasty fresh food!

Whether you're new to ANU or returning for another semester, this event hosted by the Kitchen Garden team and the ANU+ Award program, is your chance to step outside and take part in two universal joys: volunteering and sharing food :)

Join us for a hands-on experience where you will:

  • Get involved in meaningful, community-driven volunteering
  • Learn about the ANU+ Award program & the Kitchen Garden's circular economy & sustainability practices on campus
  • Make friends! Connect with peers interested in making a difference
  • Share herbal tea, fresh food in a relaxed and welcoming environment

You don't need to be a master chef or have a green thumb, the Kitchen Garden is a place of learning and sharing experiences, knowledge and skills. Most importantly, the Kitchen Garden is a state of mind - it's about ANU people connecting as a community and connecting with nature through the inspiration and enjoyment of locally and cooperatively grown and prepared fresh food.  It is also a great opportunity to kickstart your ANU+ Award journey, explore volunteering pathways, and discover how you can create positive change while developing skills for the future.

Come along, get involved, and be part of something meaningful.

*This event is only available for ANU students.
